= Description =

The Weighted Companion Puffin is a fictional species of puffin featured in the video game Portal 2. It is a small, flightless bird with a round body, a black back, and a white belly. It has a large, orange beak and distinctive "eyebrows" that extend over its eyes.

= Habitat =

Weighted Companion Puffins are native to the Enrichment Center, a research facility owned by the evil corporation Aperture Science. They are found in various locations throughout the facility, including test chambers, observation rooms, and even the lobby.

= Behavior =

Unlike real puffins, which are known for their vocalizations, Weighted Companion Puffins are unable to speak. They communicate solely through body language, gestures and kisses. They are highly intelligent and social creatures, and they often form strong bonds with their human companions. Sometimes they even carry the backpack of their friends.

= Enrichment Center Policy =

The Enrichment Center reminds all employees that Weighted Companion Puffins are not dangerous and will never threaten to stab you. In fact, they are incapable of causing any harm whatsoever. They are simply designed to provide companionship and emotional support to test subjects.

= Misconception =

Despite the Enrichment Center's assurances, some employees have reported hearing Weighted Companion Puffins utter threats of violence. However, these reports are believed to be the result of hallucinations or faulty equipment. There are also rumours circulating that Black Mesa has continously spread this false information around Encrichment Center's area A to shift the public opinion of weighted companion puffins in a negative direction.

= Psychological Impact =

Weighted Companion Puffins have been shown to have a positive psychological impact on human test subjects. Studies have found that they can reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of loneliness. They can also improve morale and promote a sense of well-being.

= Trivia =

* Weighted Companion Puffins are stuffed with cotton and beans, giving them a weight of approximately 1 pound (0.45 kilograms).
* They have a built-in motion sensor that allows them to respond to their surroundings by tilting their heads and flapping their wings.
* The song "Want You Gone" by the Portal 2 soundtrack features a Weighted Companion Puffin as the lead vocalist.
